The Black Country Foodbank helps vulnerable individuals and families in crisis through the provision of emergency food supplies while a longer-term solution is developed. The services provided have an enormous impact on the people who use them, giving them important breathing space at a time of great need.
However due to the current pandemic, food banks across the country have been forced to close or scale down as volunteer numbers and donations have been brought down by the virus.
Speaking on behalf of Johal Dairies, Mr Gurnek Johal said: "As a food distributor we are uniquely placed and very proud to help. We know our local food banks are finding life very difficult with donations at the moment and Johal Dairies are committed to help however we can. All colleagues at Johal Dairies want to do their part in helping to feed the nation during this time of national emergency”.
